Speech therapist Carol vividly explained the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation InitiativeĀ (IDDSI) using numerous real-life examples from nursing homesš. A culinary instructor provided a detailed explanation of the functions and usage techniques of various German Pool professional food processors, along with a live demonstration of care food for caregivers. From ingredient preparation to the finished product, every step was clear and easy to understand. The participants took careful notes, actively asked questions, and engaged in lively interaction. The instructor also provided individual guidance on the operational difficulties raised by the participants, ensuring everyone mastered the core cooking techniques.

After the teaching session, speech therapist Carol conducted a care food quiz to assess the participants' learning outcomesš. The participants diligently answered the questions, utilizing the knowledge and skills learned in the course, and successfully completed the quiz. At the end of the course, the team awarded "Certificates of Passing" to the participants who completed the course and passed the quizš. These certificates not only affirmed the participants' learning achievements but also encouraged them to spread knowledge about caregiving and practice professional care in the future.

Happy Kitchen, located at the German Pool flagship store in Fashion Walk, Causeway Bay, has partnered with the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) š¤ to become the first to join the "Care Food Seed Restaurant" programš±. It has become a professional care food seed restaurant recognized by the HKCSS and equipped with a full range of IDDSI 1-7 EC level care food mealsš . The team's 11 exquisite care food menus have all been evaluated and certified by speech therapists to meet IDDSI standards. This certification has further convinced trainees of German Pool's professionalism.
