Apr 29: German Pool x THEi "Farm to Table Little Pioneer" project🌾

German Pool has always been committed to promoting the development of care foods, so that people in need can enjoy a safe, delicious and dignified dining experience❤️. This time, we have joined hands with Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) to participate in the "Farm to Table Little Pioneer", bringing professional knowledge into the campus and cultivating a new generation of talents who are knowledgeable and passionate about care foods.

This event, centered on the core concept of "Refined Care Foods, Shared Dining," used a curriculum that balanced theory and practice to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) and how to design safe and nutritious soft meals for seniors using these standards. The event was rich in content, including explanations of IDDSI standards, introductions to culinary therapy, and live demonstrations of various refined care food dishes, such as pumpkin soup, Italian rose sauce chicken risotto, and chocolate mousse pudding. Participants learned about ingredient handling, texture control, and plating techniques, enhancing their overall culinary skills💡.

During the event, German Pool also shared how to use professional equipment to improve the efficiency and stability of care food preparation, helping to transform traditional diets into meals suitable for different swallowing needs, achieving the goal of balancing deliciousness and safety.

This workshop not only deepened the younger generation's understanding of caregiving nutrition but also further promoted the concept of "eating together at the same table," raising social awareness of the dietary needs of the elderly. In the future, German Pool will continue to actively participate in various types of educational and promotional activities, working with all sectors to popularize caregiving nutrition and truly integrate care into daily life🥰.
